LAS VEGAS – The No. 7 Auburn men's golf team finished its first round of the Southern Highlands Collegiate Sunday afternoon. The Tigers are in 12th after carding an 11-over 299 at the Southern Highlands Golf Club.
Jacob Solomon led the way for Auburn with an even-par 72. The senior had a team-best three birdies and is tied for 19th overall.
Graysen Huff and Jovan Rebula are tied for 30th and 52nd overall at 2-over and 4-over, respectively. Huff racked up a pair of birdies on the back nine, while Rebula carded a team-best 14 pars in his first circuit of the par-72 course.
Trace Crowe and Brandon Mancheno are knotted up at 5-over and are tied for 60th after their first 18 holes.
No. 4 Georgia Tech leads the field at 5-under (283), followed by Stanford (284), No. 11 Oklahoma (287), No. 18 Texas Tech (288), No. 15 Cal (288), UNLV (288), Illinois (290), No. 13 Pepperdine (294), TCU (294), No. 8 Texas (295), UCF (298), Auburn (299), Florida (300), No. 6 USC (301) and UCLA (305).
The Tigers are paired with Texas and UCF for the second round off the 10th tee, beginning at 11:30 a.m. CT.
