AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn baseball program continued to announce its 2020 recruiting class as the Tigers publicized the signing of Ben Schorr Monday afternoon.
Schorr is a catcher from nearby Columbus, Georgia, and is a product of Columbus High School and the East Coast Sox Select.
"Playing baseball at Auburn has always been a dream of mine," Schorr said. "I couldn't be more excited to play for Coach Thompson and in front of the best fans in the country. Playing so close to home means a lot to me because I grew up always coming to Auburn for games."

Schorr is rated by Perfect Game as the No. 3 catcher in Georgia. He participated in the Perfect Game National Showcase in each of the last two seasons and was named to the 2018 Jr. National Showcase Top Prospect Team. Schorr also competed in the 2018 Perfect Game Underclass All-American Game and was named a 2019 Preseason Third Team All-American.
Entering his senior season at Columbus High School, Schorr has played and started in 68 games while turning in nine home runs and 53 RBI In the last two seasons. He is a two-time Columbus Ledger-Enquirer All-Bi City and Georgia Dugout All-State honoree. Schorr has helped lead his team to the 4A Regional Final in three straight seasons and the state quarterfinals in each of the last two years.
