AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn senior diver Alison Maillard was selected to the 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for at-large sports, the organization announced Thursday.
Maillard, a team captain this past season, led by example on the boards and in the classroom.
The senior from Houston, Texas was a three-time CSCAA Scholar All-American and a three-time selection to the Winter SEC Academic Honor Roll. She graduated this spring with a degree in industrial and systems engineering and finished with a GPA of 3.87.
On the boards, Maillard was named the SEC Female Diver of the Year following a season in which she won the SEC championship on 1-meter with a school record 364.15 points and also earned a bronze medal at the SEC meet with a third-place finish on 3-meter. For the third straight year, she qualified for the NCAA Championships on all three diving events.
Maillard was a five-time CSCAA All-American over her career at Auburn, and in 2017, she was named the SEC Female Freshman Diver of the Year.
Academic All-District selections will advance to the national ballot for the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team, which will be announced in June. Maillard is the third Auburn student-athlete to be selected this year, joining baseball's Rankin Woley and softball's Justus Perry who were announced last week.
