AUBURN, Ala.—Indoor All-Americans Dante Brown and Dontavious Hill started their 2021 outdoor seasons off with a bang as both posted national leading marks during the second day of the Tiger Track Classic at Hutsell-Rosen Track on Saturday.
 
Brown won the men's 100m dash with a lifetime-best time of 10.15, while teammate Jevony Murray was second in a PR time of 10.39. Brown's 10.15 moved him into Auburn's top 10 performers list while is time is three one hundredths faster than Houston's Shaun Maswanganyi who is No. 2 nationally at 10.18.
 
Hill meanwhile leaped a personal-best 2.21m/7-3 on his first attempt to claim gold and move into No. 6 on the school performer's list. The SEC Indoor silver medalist, Hill made three close, but unsuccessful attempts at the US Olympic Trials qualifying mark of 2.26m.
 
Auburn recorded three other event wins, including a medals sweep in the women's high jump. Senior Natosha won gold clearing 1.76m/5-9.25 to equal her career-best leap. Teammates Kamiya Dendy and Caroline Lawrence finished second and third, respectively, as both made it over 1.71m/5-7.25.
 
Brandon Smiley won the men's 200m in 21.02 while graduate transfer Eric Brown cruised to victory in the men's 800m, crossing the tape in 1:50.54.
 
Smiley teamed with Murray, Jason Reese and Brown to claim silver in the 4x100m relay with the nation's sixth fastest time of 39.86.
 
Distance runner Abbey Zane also won silver in the women's 3000m with a time of 9:48.70, while in the men's 3k, freshman Ryan Kinnane was third (8:29.77).
 
The Tiger women had two other third place finishes as Destiny Charles took home bronze in the 200m dash in 23.77 and Imani Jones was also third in the triple jump (11.64m/38-2.25).
During the two-day outdoor opener, Auburn won six events, including three medal sweeps while posting an impressive 57 collegiate or lifetime bests.
 
Auburn will return to action March 25-26 at the Florida State Relays in Tallahassee, Fla.
