BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Auburn soccer players Anna Haddock, Alyssa Malonson and Maddie Prohaska were named to the Southeastern Conference Soccer Preseason Watch List, the league office announced Wednesday.

It marks the fourth straight season Malonson has earned the preseason distinction and is the first for both Haddock and Prohaska.

Haddock enters her second season after tying for the team lead with 14 points on two goals and a SEC-best 10 assists as a freshman in 2020-21. Her assist total was the most among freshmen nationally and the fifth most in the country. Haddock tied the Auburn program record with four assists in a game against Kennesaw State on Feb. 19.

The Bowling Green, Kentucky, native went on to earn a plethora of postseason recognition that included being named to the SEC All-Freshman Team, United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Southeast Region and Top Drawer Soccer Second Team Freshman Best XI.

Malonson returns for her fifth and final season in an Auburn uniform after being selected by the N.C. Courage with the 20th overall in the second round of the 2021 NWSL Draft, becoming the second-highest draft pick in program history. The Houston, Texas, native has played and started in every game (77) since stepping foot on campus and is approaching the top 10 in program history in career assists (19).

Malonson has earned All-SEC postseason honors on three occasions in her Auburn career and was tabbed United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-Southeast Region in 2020-21.

Prohaska enrolled at Auburn a year early last fall but made her mark as the Tigers' primary goalkeeper from the get-go. The West Chester, Ohio, native started in net in 17 contests and turned in the fourth-best goals against average (0.80) in program history as a freshman. Prohaska also led the SEC in save percentage (0.843) and helped Auburn tie the program record for fewest goals allowed in a season (15).

Leading the team to eight shutouts, including six solo efforts, Prohaska joined Haddock on the SEC All-Freshman Team and was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week on multiple occasions in 2020-21.

The Tigers, who were picked to finish seventh in the SEC by the league's head coach, begin the 2021 season at Samford Thursday at 7 p.m. CT.
