AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn fifth-year defender Alyssa Malonson was recognized by Top Drawer Soccer for the second straight week as she was named Team of the Week honorable mention Tuesday.

It marks the third time Malonson has been recognized by Top Drawer Soccer this season and is the ninth time through as many weeks an Auburn player has been honored by the publication.

Tying the program record with her 91st straight start in an Auburn uniform, Malonson led the defensive effort in Auburn's third straight shutout win and the team's league-best fifth shutout in seven SEC games.

The veteran defender played all 90 minutes in the 2-0 win against Florida as the Tigers allowed just two shots, including one shot on goal, against the Gators. Malonson controlled the defensive third of the field as she ran down multiple Florida strikers before they were able to get a shot off.

Malonson and the No. 23 Tigers (11-3-0, 5-2-0 SEC) battle No. 6 Arkansas (12-2-0, 7-0-0 SEC) in a SEC West showdown Thursday, Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. CT at the Auburn Soccer Complex. The Spring, Texas, native will be one of three Auburn seniors honored during a pregame senior day ceremony.
