AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 3 Auburn equestrian team returns to action this weekend, hosting a Jumping Seat-only quad weekend with SUNY New Paltz, Sewanee and Dartmouth at the Auburn University Equestrian Center.
"This group is ready to go," head coach Greg Williams said. "We're really excited for the spring and this weekend is a kickoff for that. These contests give our Jumping Seat riders a chance to get back into competition mode and allows the team to work together to put on a good event."
A total of six meet will run over Friday and Saturday. Friday's action starts at 10 a.m. CT with Auburn and SUNY New Paltz. Sewanee and SUNY New Paltz will face off at 12:30 p.m. CT, while Auburn and Sewanee will close out the day at 3 p.m. CT.
SUNY New Paltz and Dartmouth kick things off on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. CT. Auburn and Dartmouth follow at 11 a.m. CT with Dartmouth and Sewanee capping the long weekend at 1:30 p.m. CT.
SPECTATOR INFORMATION
The Kid's Zone returns with a bounce house, pony rides and yard games available to all kids in attendance. Admission to all equestrian meets is free.
Friday will feature an Auburn Equestrian Calendar giveaway to first 100 fans!
Members of the Heritage Club are reminded that entrance to the Scholarship Lounge requires a mask.

AUBURN LINEUP
The Auburn Jumping Seat corps will spread out its lineup over the three meets this weekend.
The team will kick things off against SUNY New Paltz on Flat. Seniors Emma Kurtz and Helen Ulrich are set to ride with freshmen Hallie Rush and Sophee Steckbeck. Fences will go second, and the squad will be led by senior Meghan Knapic and sophomore Ellie Ferrigno. Steckbeck and classmate Mary-Grace Segars are also set to compete.
The second meet of the day for Auburn will be against Sewanee. Flat will again go first with Ferrigno, Ulrich and Steckbeck being joined by junior Ava Stearns. Fences will follow with Ferrigno, Knapic, Kurtz and Stearns.
Auburn's lone meet on Saturday vs. Dartmouth will once again start with flat. Freshman Anna Marie Mayes will compete for the Tigers along with Ferrigno, Kurtz and Stearns. Fences is set to close out the busy weekend with Kurtz and Stearns leading the charge. Sophomore Grace Pearson will get a start in addition to Segars.
WEEKEND SERIES
Friday will be the second-ever meeting between SUNY New Paltz and Auburn. The two squads last met in October of 2019 with the Tigers taking a 7-1 victory at the Auburn University Equestrian Center.
The meetings between Sewanee and Dartmouth will be the first in each series.
UP NEXT
The Tigers return to Southeastern Conference competition and will travel to South Carolina, Feb. 5. Auburn and the Gamecocks will face off at 9 a.m. CT in Blythewood, S.C., at One Wood Farm.
