AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 3 Auburn equestrian team concluded a busy weekend at the Auburn University Equestrian Center with an 8-0 win over Dartmouth in a Jumping Seat only contest Saturday morning.
 
"The riding was really good today," head coach Greg Williams said. "This was a great set up for practices this week as we get ready SEC play next weekend."
 
The Tigers hosted Dartmouth, SUNY New Paltz and Sewanee over the past two days, running a total of six meets at the Auburn University Equestrian Center.
 
"All three teams have been wonderful to host," Williams said. "I can't say enough about our student-athletes and staff for all their hard work this weekend putting on six meets."
 
Senior Emma Kurtz and junior Ava Stearns were awarded Most Outstanding Performer honors in Flat and Fences, respectively. It was the second MOP of the weekend for Kurtz.
 
Flat kicked things off with a 4-0 mark, starting with the win from Kurtz. The Hudson, Ohio, product bested her opponent, 81-71.5. Sophomore Ellie Ferrigno followed with a 75.5-65.5 win over Tori Bergstein, while freshman Anna Marie Mayes edged her opponent, 72-71.5. Stearns capped the event with a 75-67.5 victory over Rachel Freer.
 
The squad put together another sweep in Fences, besting Dartmouth, 4-0. Freshman Mary-Grace Segars started things off with her second win of the weekend, topping Bergstein with 79 points. Kurtz scored another 81 in her win before Stearns rode to an 82-68 victory for MOP. Sophomore Grace Pearson earned her first career win with an 80-79 edge over her opponent.
 
The Tigers return to Southeastern Conference competition and will travel to South Carolina, Feb. 5. Auburn and the Gamecocks will face off at 9 a.m. CT in Blythewood, S.C., at One Wood Farm.
