AUBURN, Ala. – Behind three-run rule victories, Auburn Softball (32-9) moved up in all four major softball polls, marking the ninth consecutive week that the Tigers have been ranked across the polls.
Auburn moved one spot to No. 18 in both the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25. The Tigers moved three spots to No. 19 in the latest D1 Softball Top 25 and Softball America Collegiate Top 25. In the updated NCAA Division I RPI rankings, Auburn dropped one spot to No. 24.
Auburn is coming off an impressive offensive performance with a road win at Mercer and a doubleheader sweep of Niagara. All three victories came via the run-rule. Auburn surpassed the 30-win mark for the first time since 2019. Behind a three-homer weekend, Bri Ellis was tabbed the SEC Freshman of the Week. .
Oklahoma remains the unanimous No. 1 team in the country for the 10th consecutive week. The Sooners 40-game win streak came to an end as Oklahoma stands 38-1. A total of eight SEC programs were ranked in the latest polls. Joining the Tigers were No. 2 Alabama, No. 7 Arkansas, No. 8 Florida, No. 9 Kentucky, No. 14 Georgia, No. 15 Tennessee and No. 21 LSU.
