TUSCALOOSA, Ala.  –  Senior sprinters Dante Brown and Tylar Colbert registered wins and new personal bests times, while fellow senior Dontavious Hill won the men's high jump to highlight the Auburn track and field efforts at the Crimson Tide Invitational this weekend.

Brown, the Southeastern Conference 60m indoor champion as a junior, won the men's 100m in a time of 10.14, which is the fastest AU time recorded in the event since Brown ran a wind-aided 10.11 last year. The time moved him into a tie for 21st nationally.

Colbert shaved off 64 one-hundredths off her previous best time in the 400m hurdles, to bring home gold in a new PR of 58.00. It was Colbert's fifth collegiate win in the event and second of the 2022 outdoor season.

The NCAA's third-ranked athlete in the high jump, Hill won his sixth collegiate outdoor event and fourth of 2022 by clearing 2.19m/7-2.25.

Auburn's distance and throws had strong outings during the two-day event combining for 12 personal best marks. Collectively as a team, the Tigers' programs had 17 PRs.

Senior Presley Weems, the school record holder at 800m, ran a 2:06.66, a season-best time to finish second in the event. Weems' time was the sixth fastest 800 in Auburn history. Teammate Aalliyah Francis was Auburn's other medalist on the women's side, taking bronze in the 400m dash, crossing in 54.64.

In the men's 1500m on Friday evening, sophomore Ryan Kinanne was third in a PR time of 3:42.02, while teammate Cooper Atkins was fifth in a new personal-best of 3:42.74. Their times moved them into fourth and fifth, respectively, on Auburn's all-timer performers list. Three other men, Tommy McDonough, Carson Bedics and Benson Atkins also had their best times of their AU career in the event.

Senior sprinter Brandon Smiley ran 21.12 in the men's 200m to take third place, while teammate Jason Reese ran a new personal-best 21.34.

Auburn will be competing in two meets this coming week with several Tigers racing at the history Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Wednesday thru Saturday. Others will head to Athens, Georgia for the Torrin Lawrence Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
