AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn women's golf team closed out the regular season with a sweep of the top-three finishers in Monday's 36 holes of play at the Auburn Individual.

The field of 30 individual competitors completed two rounds on the day before the tournament was called due to impending inclement weather.

"It's a shame we had to cancel the final round, but we knew it would be a challenge to finish the final 18 holes," Tigers head coach Melissa Luellen said. "I was looking forward to the continued battle for the gold bracelet amongst our Tigers. I love how we responded with the urgency to get focused from the first tee until the last putt fell. We're so proud of the one-two-three finish and are excited to know that we are trending in the right direction as we head into the postseason."

Fifth year Kaleigh Telfer picked up her team-leading fourth career tournament win behind a 5-under, 139 performance. Telfer fired a 70 to open the day, then followed it up with a 69 to claim the event's individual championship by two strokes.

Sophomores Anna Foster and Elina Sinz followed tightly behind Telfer, firing a 3-under, 141 and a 2-under, 142, respectively, to round out the event's top three placements.

Auburn saw another Tiger record a top-10 outing via fifth year Julie McCarthy. The Swords, Ireland native rebounded from a first-round 78 by chipping off seven strokes for a 71 to close the day and finish tied for eighth place.

In just the third tournament of her budding career, sophomore Ashley-Sinclair Curtis set a new career low for 18 holes and carded a 158 to finish tied for 22nd place.

The Tigers begin postseason action next week, April 13-17, as they look to defend their conference title at SEC Championships hosted by Greystone Golf and Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama.
