AUBURN, Ala. – Head coach Mickey Dean announced the addition of infielder KK McCrary, who previously competed at Tennessee, for the 2023 softball season.
 
McCrary spent the 2021 and 2020 seasons with the Lady Vols, appearing in 36 contests. McCrary saw starting time in 25 games, primarily at third base and as a designated player.
 
During her sophomore campaign, McCrary recorded five hits and logged two RBI while scoring a pair of runs. Patient at the plate, she drew 10 walks to help bolster a .375 on-base percentage. As a freshman, McCrary recorded seven hits, including two doubles and two home runs, for a .259 batting average and .556 slugging clip. The heart of the Tennessee lineup when in action, McCrary totaled nine RBI her debut season.
 
Dedicated in the classroom, McCrary earned a spot SEC Academic Honor Roll her first two seasons of action.
 
A Murfreesboro, Tennessee, native, McCrary graduated from Siegel High School where she led the team to the 2019 7AAA District Championship, finishing as the runner-up at state. McCrary was honored as the Tennessean Softball Player of the Year and the Murfreesboro Post Player of the Year that season.  
 
A Gatorade Player of the Year nominee, McCrary also added district MVP, All-Mid State Player of the Year and Daily News Journal All-Area Player of the Year and Female Athlete of the Year her senior season. McCrary was a 2018 First Team All-State selection after leading District 7AAA in home runs, slugging percentage and RBI.
