Jamel Dean set the bar in week two with a pair of interceptions. In week three, three different former Tigers had an interception – Jonathan Jones, Josh Bynes and Derrick Brown. Yes, that Derrick Brown. That and more in this week's NFL rundown.
*Elite Company: Jonathan Jones (85.6) and Jamel Dean (85.2) are the two highest-graded cornerbacks per PFF through the first three games of the 2022 season.
BEST OF WEEK 3
Derrick Brown, DT, Carolina Panthers
Auburn fans know how athletic Brown is from his days playing for the Tigers, but a one-handed interception while falling down? That's impressive even by Brown's standards. The third-year defensive lineman made the play early in the fourth quarter to help Carolina preserve a 19-7 lead in its victory over the New Orleans Sains. Brown also had two tackles, two pass deflections, and his PFF grade (76.8) was third highest on Carolina's defense this week.

Josh Bynes, LB, Baltimore Ravens
Bynes has still got it. The 12-year NFL veteran put on a show Sunday with 10 tackles and an interception in Baltimore's 37-26 win over the New England Patriots. The interception came late in the third quarter when he slid in front of a pass from Mac Jones and picked it off. The Ravens turned it into a field goal to extend their lead to 31-20. Bynes, a starter in all three games this season, finished with the highest PFF grade (91.3) on the team.

Jonathan Jones, CB, New England Patriots
According to PFF, the top-graded cornerback through the first three weeks of the NFL season is Jones. The former Auburn DB had his best game yet Sunday with four tackles, a forced fumble and his first interception of the season to earn a grade of 93.1 – fourth highest among all player regardless of position. Through three games, he's allowed only six catches for 91 yards and a QB passer rating of 60.2. He now has eight career interceptions in the NFL, all with the Patriots, and he has at least one in five of the seven seasons he's played.

Roger McCreary, CB, Tennessee Titans
McCreary continues to make a quick adjustment to the NFL. The rookie cornerback led the Titans with 10 tackles. It was the second straight week with double-digit tackles. McCreary also made a critical play in coverage late in the game, breaking up a pass on third down as the Raiders were trying to score a game-tying touchdown. For the game, he allowed six catches for 46 yards on nine targets. Tennessee held on for a 24-16 victory.
