AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 6 Auburn equestrian team will welcome No. 9 UT Martin to the Auburn University Equestrian Center this Saturday in the team's 2022-23 home opener. The two squads will face off at 11 a.m. CT and admission is free.
"We're so excited to finally be back home," head coach Greg Williams said. "It's going to be a fun environment for our fans coming out. Our team feeds off the crowd and a true home advantage so we're looking forward to the Auburn Family showing up this Saturday.
"UT Martin is always prepared," Williams said. "They are well-coached and will battle hard, so we need to be ready."
SPECTATOR INFORMATION
It's Kid's Day at the Auburn University Equestrian Center. The Kid's Zone will be open with a bounce house, pony rides and paint-a-pony. In addition, pumpkins will be available to paint while supplies last.

AUBURN LINEUP
The Auburn lineup will remain the same with an exception to Reining from last week.
Junior Ellie Ferrigno and sophomore Mary-Grace Segars lead the way on the Jumping Seat side of competition. Ferrigno is undefeated in Fences (3-0-0) with three MOPs, while Segars is undefeated in Flat (3-0-0) with one MOP. The pair will compete in both events for the Tigers.
Fifth year Emma Kurtz has two wins in each Jumping Seat event, while senior Ava Stearns is undefeated in Fences at 3-0-0. Sophomore Sophee Steckbeck has two wins in Fences and all three will also compete in both Jumping Seat events.
The Horsemanship crew have found success this season as everyone has recorded a win so far. Senior Maddie Spak has a team-best 3-0-0 record in the event with one MOP. Junior Madison Parduhn has a pair of victories for the squad and will also compete against the Skyhawks.
Freshmen Caroline Fredenburg and Alexia Tordoff each have two wins in the event. Tordoff has a team-best 76 on the year with one MOP. Senior Olivia Tordoff picked up her first win of the season at nationally-ranked Fresno State last weekend and rounds out the Auburn lineup in the event.
The Reining corps will be led by senior Boo Kammerer and juniors Isabella Tesmer and Olivia Marino. Kammerer and Tesmer each have two wins on the year, while Marino picked up a victory at UC Davis last Friday.
Freshmen Caroline Buchanan and Alexia Tordoff will also ride for the Tigers. Tordoff secured MOP honors in the event at Fresno State.
AUBURN-UT MARTIN SERIES
Saturday's contest will be the 16th meeting between the two schools. Auburn is undefeated against the Skyhawks at 15-0.
The two teams last met in October 2019 in Martin, Tennessee. The Tigers downed UT Martin, 17-1.
The Skyhawks last visited Auburn in February of 2019 seeing the Tigers blank the visitors, 17-0.
