AUBURN, Ala. – It's finally time for Auburn Swim and Dive to strike a chord on the 2022 season and it'll be the Women hoping to find the right tune in the Music City. The Tigers travel north to Nashville to face Vanderbilt on Friday for the first time since 2014.
The first event at the Centennial Sportsplex is slated to begin at 1 p.m. CT.
Head coach Ryan Wochomurka and his crew will be looking to capitalize on the momentum of a strong summer of swimming as well as last week's annual Orange and Blue Meet.
Averee Preble, Brynn Curtis, Hannah Ownbey, Anastasia Makarova, Ellie Waldrep and Emily Hetzer all showcased some impressive swims at the Phillips 66 National Championships in July. Not to mention Hetzer, Ownbey, Preble, Makarova, Waldrep Meghan Lee, Avery Bargeron and Lexie Mulvihill all qualified for the NCAA's a season ago.
Wochomurka's 2022 roster also included nine freshmen eyeing to make an impact early and often this season.
The last time the Tigers squared off against the Commodores was in 2014 when Auburn outswam Vanderbilt 201-75.
Fans will be able to follow along with live results on Meet Mobile.
