Auburn Made: Week 14 NFL Rundown

Auburn Made: Week 14 NFL RundownAuburn Made: Week 14 NFL Rundown

Auburn players always love playing under the lights. Former Tigers Daniel Carlson and Jonathan Jones showed that in Week 14, stepping up in primetime.

That and more in this week's NFL rundown.

BEST OF WEEK 14

Daniel Carlson, K, Las Vegas Raiders
Carlson had another perfect game under the primetime lights on Thursday and was responsible for 10 of the 16 points scored in the one-point loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He was 3 for 3 on field goals, including a 52-yarder, and made his only extra point attempt. He continues to lead the league in field goals from 50 yards or more, with nine this season. Carlson has 110 points through the first 14 games, ranking third among all NFL kickers.

Jonathan Jones, CB, New England Patriots
With injuries to Jalen Mills and Jack Jones, Jonathan Jones was left as the Patriots' top cornerback and more than held his own in Monday night's contest with the Arizona Cardinals. Jones finished with four tackles, earning a tackling grade of 77.8 per PFF. In coverage, he was targeted three times and allowed just two catches for eight yards. Jones and the Patriots held Arizona to 13 points in a 27-13 win and improved to 7-6 on the season.

Carl Lawson, DE, New York Jets
The Jets have proven to be one of the most dynamic defenses in the NFL this season, and Lawson continues to be a key player in causing trouble for opposing offenses. In Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Buffalo Bills, Lawson put pressure on MVP candidate, Josh Allen, tallying up three QB hurries and a tackle. The fifth-year veteran earned a defensive PFF grade of 70.7 and a pass rush grade of 72.8.
