MELBOURNE, Fla. – Auburn women's golf is set to begin play at the Moon Golf Invitational on Sunday at the Suntree Country Club in Melbourne, Florida. This will be the second tournament of the spring schedule for the Tigers, as they began 2023 with a fourth place finish at the Nexus Collegiate in Albany, Bahamas on Wednesday.
 
Junior Anna Foster looks to continue her good play, as she recorded a third-place finish individually at the Nexus Collegiate after shooting a 1-over 217 to secure the third top five finish of her career. The other upperclassman in the lineup for Auburn will be senior Megan Schofill, who recorded a top 15 finish.
 
Redshirt freshman Carys Worby made her collegiate debut in the Bahamas and notched a top 15 finish after firing an 8-over 224. Worby also was tied for the lead after the initial 18 holes of the tournament. Freshman Katie Cranston also made her collegiate debut at Albany Golf Course in the Bahamas for the Tigers, where she finished in a tie for 25th place after shooting 228 (+12). Both Worby and Cranston will be in the lineup on Sunday to play in their second collegiate tournament.
 
The impressive 17-team field includes 13 teams ranked in the Golfweek top 50 including No. 8 LSU and No. 11 Florida State. Ten players in Golfweek's women's collegiate individual rankings will be in the field as well, including No. 2 Ingrid Lindblad from LSU and No. 6 Lottie Woad from Florida State.
 
Auburn will tee off beginning at 7:50 a.m. CT off of hole one and will be playing foursomes with players from Florida State, LSU and Michigan.
 
The Moon Golf Invitational is scheduled to be played Sunday through Tuesday. The event will be live streamed on GKLive.tv (code: Moon100) and live scoring will be available at Golfstat.com and the GolfStat mobile app.
