INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Head coach Ryan Wochomurka has qualified eight individuals for the 2023 NCAA Women's Championships, the NCAA announced on Wednesday.
 
Emily Hetzer (1650 free), Meghan Lee (100 back, 100 breast), Anastasia Makarova (100 breast, 200 breast), Polina Nevmovenko (200 free), Hannah Ownbey (400 IM), Daisy Platts (100 back, 200 back), Averee Preble (1650 free) and Ellie Waldrep (100 back) have all made the list to compete in Knoxville.
 
The model of consistency, distance queen Emily Hetzer will make her fourth appearance at the Championships. Preble and Ownbey are each competing in their third NCAA Championship as a Tiger. Lee along with sophomores Makarova and Waldrep are each making their second trip to the NCAAs after qualifying a season ago.
 
For Nevmovenko and Platts, the trek up to Tennessee will be the duo's first appearance at an NCAA Championship.
 
The Tigers will also send Lexie Mulvihill, Claudia Thamm, Rebekah Hamilton and Emma Steckiel as relay alternates.
 
Auburn will await the list of divers who are looking to join the eight swimmers after the Zone B Championships scheduled for March 5-8.
 
The 2023 NCAA Women's Championships are slated for March 15-18 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
