KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the third-consecutive school year, the Auburn men's basketball team achieved a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher to receive the Academic Excellence Award by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) on Thursday.
 
In addition, five Tigers were named to the NABC Honors Court after earning a cumulative 3.2 or higher GPA during the 2022-23 school year.
 
Those student-athletes were graduate senior Lior Berman (Birmingham, Ala.), rising senior Dylan Cardwell (Augusta, Ga.), rising senior Carter Sobera (Birmingham, Ala.), rising junior Johni Broome (Plant City, Fla.) and graduate senior Chandler Leopard (Athens, Ala.).

In May, Berman graduated with a bachelor's degree in industrial design and Leopard a bachelor's degree in engineering.
