Auburn Made: Week 2 NFL rundownAuburn Made: Week 2 NFL rundown

Former Auburn stars Darius Slayton, Roger McCreary and Derick Hall all played a pivotal role in their teams' respective victories over the weekend.

That and more in this week's Auburn Made NFL rundown.

BEST OF WEEK 2

Derick Hall, LB, Seattle Seahawks
Rookie Derick Hall made the most of his snaps in Week 2 and helped the Seahawks secure an important road win at Detroit. Hall played just 24 snaps on defense but finished with two tackles and the first quarterback hit of his career. Despite the limited snap count, he still graded out as the sixth-best player on Seattle's defense with a PFF grade of 68.2.

Roger McCreary, CB, Tennessee Titans
Coming off a season where he started all 17 games for the Titans, McCreary put in his best performance of the season Sunday in an overtime win over the Los Angeles Chargers. The second-year cornerback was targeted three times and only allowed one catch for 14 yards. He added six tackles, including one tackle for loss. PFF graded McCreary as one of the top ten corners in the NFL for Week 2 with a 79.9 grade.

Jamien Sherwood, LB, New York Jets
Sherwood set a new career high for tackles with seven against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2. It was also the highest number of defensive snaps (27) for Sherwood since his rookie season in 2021 that was cut short by injury. In what was a tough game for the Jets, Sherwood set himself apart as a bright spot, moving back toward his pre-injury form.

Darius Slayton, WR, New York Giants
With three catches for 62 yards, Slayton helped the Giants rally from a 21-point deficit in the second half to get their first win of the season in Arizona on Sunday. The fifth-year pro started his day with a 29-yard catch and run that aided a crucial touchdown drive in the third quarter. Then, on the final drive of the game, Slayton added an 18-yard reception to put New York in position to kick the game-winning field goal. He registered a 70.9 PFF grade.
