AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn men's tennis will begin play at the 2023 ITA Southern Regional Championships at the Yarbrough Tennis Center on Friday. The Tigers will have one doubles team and four singles players in the event.

"Our guys tend to play better on our home courts," said Auburn head coach Bobby Reynolds. "The courts are slower, a little bouncier and just fits into their games. I want to see them playing with a lot of emotion, playing aggressive tennis and taking advantage of opportunities when they present themselves. When they do that, they're some of the best players in the country. Being in front of the home fans and being able to sleep in their own beds will also be a big advantage for them."

The doubles main draw for the event is scheduled to be played Friday through Tuesday while the singles main draw is scheduled to take place Saturday through Tuesday. Play is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. CT on Friday, weather permitting.

On Friday afternoon, Will Nolan and Billy Blaydes will begin the doubles main draw. The Auburn duo have played together twice during their time on the Plains and have a 1-1 record.

Raul Dobai, Alejandro Moreno, Nolan and Blaydes will each take part in the singles main draw that begins on Saturday. Dobai is currently 5-3 in singles matches this fall and won three matches in the ITA All-American Championships singles qualifying round to earn a spot in the main draw in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Live video and live stats for the championship will be available starting during the quarterfinal rounds on Monday at AuburnTigers.com. Results from the event will be available at wearecollegetennis.com. Fans are encouraged to attend the championship at the Yarbrough Tennis Center where attendance will be free.
