AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn women's golf is getting set to play its third tournament of the fall on Monday and Tuesday at the Tar Heel Invitational at the Governors Club in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

The Tigers will be joined in the field with three other Division I WGCA top-25 teams: No. 10 Florida State, No. 12 Baylor and No. 24 Florida. Kentucky, Michigan State, NC State, Tennessee, Michigan, Miami, Virginia Tech, Rollins College, Campbell and host school North Carolina are also in the 14-team event.

Megan Schofill will have the top spot in the Auburn lineup for the event and leads the team with a 70.50 scoring average and has recorded the most birdies with 26 through two tournaments this season.

Anna Foster, Casey Weidenfeld, Ami Gianchandani and Katie Cranston will round out the rest of the starting five for the Tigers. Carys Worby will also be competing in the event as an individual.

The opening two rounds of the event will be played on Monday with a shotgun start for both rounds and the final round will be played on Tuesday. Auburn will be paired with players from NC State, Tennessee and Florida State in both rounds on Monday.
