MELBOURNE, Fla. – No. 15 Auburn earned its third runner-up team finish of the season on at the Moon Golf Invitational on Tuesday. The Tigers fired a final round 293 (+5) to finish the event 2-over (866). Megan Schofill led the tournament individually for Auburn, shooting 1-over over all three-rounds (217).

"Happy with a second place finish in a stacked field," said Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen. "We beat several teams ranked ahead of us. Disappointed with our play today as we knew it would take an under-par team score to have a chance to win. We will take a day off then begin our prep for the next two tournaments."

Schofill bounced back after a difficult second round to card an even-par 72 on Tuesday and secure a top-20 finish, as she ended the event in a tie for 17th place individually. Schofill recorded two birdies on the back nine at Suntree Country club in round three and finished the event with 11 total birdies.

Sophomore Katie Cranston and redshirt sophomore Casey Weidenfeld each recorded a final round of 2-over (74). Both Cranston and Weidenfeld finished the event in a tie for 20th place on the individual leaderboard. Cranston played the par-5s at 5-under over the course of all three rounds, which was tied for best in the field. Weidenfeld found success on the par-4s at Suntree Country Club, playing them at 2-under during the event.

Senior Anna Foster also had a bounce back final round on Tuesday and provided the Tigers with their final counting score. Foster carded a 1-over 73 including a bogey-free back nine to earn a tie for 39th place individually. Foster posted a three-round total of 222 (+6).

Freshman Anna Davis' final round 76 (+4) did not count toward the team score, but the freshman finished the event in a tie for 28th place with a 54-hole total of 220 (+4).

Ami Gianchandani, who participated in the event as an individual, tied Davis on the tournament's individual leaderboard after posting a final round of 2-over (74).

Up next, the Tigers will travel to Hilton Head, South Carolina, to participate in the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate beginning on Mar. 4.
