HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Redshirt sophomore Casey Weidenfeld's 4-under 67 led No. 11 Auburn to a second round 282 (-2) at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head, South Carolina, on Tuesday. The Tigers moved up to third place on the individual leaderboard and trail tournament leader Northwestern by three strokes. Auburn also leads four teams ranked inside the top-10.

"The goal for the day was to play our way into the final group, and that was a success," Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen said at the end of the round. "Obviously, tomorrow's goal is to win, but I'm very proud of our team for putting us in position to get the job done tomorrow. The golf course is very challenging and our team really shines when conditions are tough. Excited to see what they can do!"

Weidenfeld broke 70 for the fifth time this season during her bogey-free round on Tuesday. She followed up her opening round that featured five birdies with four more birdies during the second round. Weidenfeld's impressive round moved her up 33 spots from the beginning of the round on the individual leaderboard into a tie for fifth place.

Freshman Anna Davis is also in the top 10 individually, as her second round 72 (+1) gives her a 36-hole total of 140 (-2). Davis is tied for seventh place on the individual leaderboard and has played the par-4s at Long Cove Club at 2-under over both rounds, which is tied for the second-best mark in the field.
