AUBURN, Ala. – Anna Davis, Megan Schofill and Casey Weidenfeld will begin the fifth edition of the Augusta National Women's Amateur on Wednesday at Champions Retreat Golf Club. This year marks the second time that Auburn has had three participants in the same field, as Schofill, Kaleigh Telfer and Julie McCarthy each played in the event in 2021.
Freshman Anna Davis received an invitation into this year's Augusta National Women's Amateur after winning the event in 2022 at the age of 16. In that tournament, Davis fired a 1-under 215 including a 69 on the final day at Augusta National Golf Club to win the event by one stroke over Ingrid Lindblad and Latanna Stone.

Since joining the team in January, Davis has posted two top-10 finishes in five tournaments and a 72.20 scoring average. In Auburn's most recent event at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, Davis shot 3-under (213) and finished runner-up individually. Davis currently holds a World Amateur Golf Ranking of 17th.
Megan Schofill will be making her fourth consecutive appearance at the ANWA on Wednesday. Schofill made the cut for the first time last year and finished in a tie for 14th place with a 54-hole total of 219 (+3). This season for the Tigers, Schofill has finished four tournaments inside the top-10 and holds the team's lowest scoring average at 71.45. Schofill will enter the event ranked as the No. 7 amateur golfer in the world.
Redshirt sophomore Casey Weidenfeld will be competing in the ANWA for the first time this season. After being named to the SEC All-Freshman team last season, Weidenfeld has finished top-5 twice this season, including a runner-up finish at the Mason Rudolph Championship. Weidenfeld shot a 206 (-10) at the event, which tied the fourth-lowest 54-hole score in program history.
Weidenfeld holds a World Amateur Golf Ranking of 71st and is ranked No. 26 among collegiate golfers by Scoreboard.
The international field of 72 players will compete over 54 holes of stroke play. A cut will take place after 36 holes, advancing the leading 30 players and ties to the final round at Augusta National Golf Club. In the event of a tie after 54 holes, the winner will be decided by a sudden-death playoff.
The first 36 holes will be contested over two days on the Island and Bluff nines at Champions Retreat Golf Club in on Wednesday and Thursday. The entire field will then play Augusta National Golf Club for an official practice round on Friday and the final round will take place at Augusta National on Saturday.
The first and second rounds of the Augusta National Women's Amateur will be broadcast live on Golf Channel from 12:30-2:30 p.m. CT from Champions Retreat Golf Club. NBC Sports will produce and broadcast three hours of live final-round coverage of the event at Augusta National from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. CT.
