AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn sophomore Anna Davis and recent graduate Megan Schofill have been selected to represent the United States in the 2024 Curtis Cup, the United States Golf Association announced on Monday. The biannual event will be held at the Old Course at Sunningdale Golf Club in Berkshire, England, from Aug. 30 to Sept. 1.

Davis and Schofill are two of eight players on the United States team, joining Catherine Park, Asterisk Talley, Rachel Kuehn, Jasmine Koo, Zoe Campos and Melanie Green. The United States will face the Great Britain & Ireland Curtis Cup Team, organized by the R&A. Anna Foster, who recently completed her final season on the Plains in 2024, is the first reserve player for the Great Britain & Ireland squad.

Each of the first two competition days at the Curtis Cup features three foursomes and three four-ball matches. On the final day, eight singles matches are played. One full point is awarded for a win and a half-point is awarded for ties. The United States leads the all-time series over Great Britain & Ireland 31-8-3 in the prestigious competition that was first played in 1932.

Davis, who reached the quarterfinals of the U.S. Women’s Amateur last week, earned second team All-American and second team All-SEC honors this season after participating in all eight of the Tigers’ tournaments this spring. She captured a top-5 finish at the SEC Championship and won low medalist at the NCAA Auburn Regional by three shots at 5-under (211). The Auburn sophomore holds a World Amateur Golf Ranking of 16th.

Schofill finished her collegiate career with a WGCA All-American honorable mention and a second team All-SEC selection in 2023-24. She led the Tigers with a 71.65 scoring average in her final season and holds the lowest career scoring average in program history at 72.01 (minimum 60 rounds). The four-time All-SEC selection is currently the 19th ranked amateur in the world.

This is the first team selection for both Davis and Schofill, with Davis serving as an alternate in 2022 and Schofill being an alternate in 2021. Auburn now boasts five Curtis Cup team selections in program history, with the last Tiger to be selected being Cydney Clanton in 2010.
