AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn sophomore Anna Davis has been named SEC Co-Player of the Week after capturing the individual title at the Illini Women’s Invitational at Medinah Country Club, the conference announced on Wednesday.
The Auburn sophomore shot 13-under (203) over three rounds to take the tournament title by three shots over Morgan Smith of Georgia. The performance broke Auburn’s program record for lowest 54-hole score, which was previously held by Sophia Schubert with a 204 at the Alamo Invitational in 2014.

Davis began the event with birdies on three of her first four holes of round one. She ultimately finished the opening round with a 67 (-5) that included six birdies and recorded an additional five in the second round where she carded a 3-under 69. The Spring Valley, California native shot 67 (-5) on Tuesday to capture the win. Her final round scorecard featured seven birdies including three consecutive to finish the back nine at Medinah Country Club, Course No. 2.
The sophomore has not finished lower than second individually through the team’s first three events of the season.
Wednesday marks the second SEC Player of the Week honor of the season for Davis, as she received the nod on Sep. 18 after recording a runner-up individual finish to lead the Tigers to a team victory at the Cougar Classic.
Auburn will conclude the fall portion of its schedule Oct. 21-23 at The Ally McDonald at Old Waverly in West Point, Mississippi.
