ATHENS, Ga. – Three Auburn divers earned points on Monday as the 2025 SEC Championships began with the women’s 1-meter diving competition inside Gabrielsen Natatorium. Rookie Emily Hallifax led John Fox’s group, finishing 14th overall as the Tigers sit eighth in the team standings after the first event with 21.5 points.
Hallifax, the freshman from Nice, France demonstrated exactly why she represented her home country during the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Her 263.80 in the 1-meter missed the A final by just four points but was more than enough to earn a second list in the consolation finals.
In her second list, Hallifax dialed up the effort, scoring a 269.60 to secure 14th place overall.
Both Kayla Walsh and Kyleigh Kidd managed to put points on the board for the Orange and Blue. Walsh delivered a 252.95 for 18th while Kidd rebounded late to grab 23rd with a 244.30.
Wednesday brings the men’s 3-meter competition and the first two swimming events of the championships in the 200 medley and 800 free relays.
