AUBURN, Ala. – After a dominating performance at the Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational, SJ Geurin put the softball world on notice and Softball America and D1 Softball rewarded her with national honors worthy of the weekend.

Softball America named the redshirt sophomore one of its Stars of the Week, while D1 Softball named Geurin its National Pitcher of the Week. D1 Softball also tabbed Geurin and Auburn utility athlete Icess Tresvik to its Clearwater Invitational All-Tournament Team.

The left-handed pitcher was involved in every single win in Auburn’s historic run in Clearwater as she picked up four wins and a pair of saves. The Tigers were the first team since Florida State (2019) to post a 6-0 record in the elite tournament.

An iron woman, Geurin tossed 22.2 total innings and allowed just two earned runs to post a 0.62 ERA. She went the distance in Auburn’s 1-0 win over UCF, marking the first complete-game shutout of her career.

Over the course of her six appearances, the Leander, Texas, native scattered 20 hits to hold opponents to a .244 average at the plate.

Guerin is just one of four pitchers in the country to have six wins after the first two weeks of the season. She also leads the SEC in saves (2), appearances (9) and innings pitched (38.2). Her efforts have helped the Tigers to an 11-0 start to the 2025 season, its best start to a season since 2018.
