FORT WORTH, Texas โ€“ Auburn sophomore Anna Davis took home the individual title after carding a final round 64 (-6) at the Charles Schwab Womenโ€™s Collegiate Invitational on Tuesday at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. Davis won the event by one stroke with a 54-hole score of 201 (-9), which set the record for lowest in program history.

โ€œI really worked on keeping a steady mind and embracing every challenge,โ€ Davis said after the victory. โ€œI did that well. I hit a lot of fairways and greens today. I had a lot of close approaches to give myself a lot of opportunities to make birdie.โ€

Davis followed two under-par rounds on Monday with a bogey-free round of 6-under with six birdies on Tuesday. It is the second time that the Auburn sophomore has carded the score this season, as she shot 64 (-7) in the opening round of the Schooner Fall Classic in September. Davis led the field in par-4 scoring, as she played them at 6-under over three rounds.ย

The win marks the third collegiate title of Davisโ€™ career, as she was the NCAA Auburn Regional low medalist last season and won the Illini Invitational at Medinah earlier this season.

As a team, the No. 19 Tigers shot 278 (-2) in the final round and finished the tournament at 6-over (846). No. 1 Stanford won the event at even par (840), but Auburn finished ahead of eight teams ranked in the SCOREBOARD top 25 including No. 5 USC and No. 6 Texas. Auburn also had the best par-4 scoring average of any team in the field at 4.13 and recorded the fourth-most birdies with 36.

"A great day for the Tigers led by Anna's bogey-free 64," Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen said after the round. "The girls were locked into every shot and made lots of birdies on the closing holes. We have been close, but today we put together a very solid day and were only bested by the No. 1 and No. 3 teams in the country."

Junior Katie Cranston shot 73 (+3) in her final round and finished the tournament in 13th place with a 54-hole score of 212 (+2). Cranston has now finished inside the individual top 20 four times this season and nine times in her career.

Carys Worby recorded her best round of the event on Tuesday, shooting even par (70) with a couple of birdies. Freshman Balma Daฬvalos recorded back-to-back birdies at two different points during her final round before ultimately carding a 71 (+1). Worby and Daฬvalos both finished the event at 7-over (217) and in a tie for 28th on the individual leaderboard.

Up next, Auburn will begin its postseason at the 2025 SEC Championship at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. The Championship will be held April 14-18.
