Gymnastics Rankings: Week 9

AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn gymnastics team improved its National Qualifying Score to 196.965 and are ranked No. 13 in this week’s RoatToNationals.com rankings.

The Tigers (10-4, 3-3 SEC) scored a 196.900 this past Friday at home to up their NQS.

Oklahoma remains at the top of the rankings with a 197.915 NQS. LSU stands at No. 2 with a NQS of 197.710, while UCLA is at No. 3 with a 197.525 NQS. Florida (197.480) and Utah (197.465) round out the top five.

The rest of the SEC remains in the top 20 – Missouri (No. 7), Kentucky (No. 9), Georgia (No. 10), Alabama (No. 14), and Arkansas (No. 16) following. 

Auburn’s beam squad is ranked No. 6 nationally with a 49.355 NQS. Vault is upped in the rankings to No. 10 (49.220), while floor remains at No. 15 (49.315). Bars moved in the rankings to No. 15 (49.205).

Freshman Katelyn Jong remains in the top 16 on bars, ranking tied for 15th with a 9.905 NQS.

Sophomore Paige Zancan moved up to No. 24 on vault nationally with a 9.870 NQS, while senior Sara Hubbard not far behind in 33rd with a 9.860 NQS. Senior Gabby McLaughlin is ranked No. 24 on beam with a 9.880 NQS. Senior Sophia Groth is ranked No. 33 with a 9.890 NQS on floor.

Auburn faces No. 7 Missouri in Columbia on Sunday, March 9. The meet between the two Tiger teams will be broadcasted at noon CT on SEC Network.
