AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn men’s golf looks to make it four titles in five events as it closes out the regular season this week, April 14-15, at the Ford Collegiate in Savannah, Georgia.

“We’re very excited to end our regular season at this event,” Tigers head coach Nick Clinard said. “I’ve heard nothing but fabulous things about the course, and the field of competitors is a field you’d see in a regional in the postseason. We’ve just got to worry about Auburn and being the best versions of ourselves. If we can do that, we’re going to be fine.”

The Ford Field and River Club plays host to 12 teams this week. Vying for top honors alongside the No. 1 Tigers are No. 2 Texas, No. 7 LSU, No. 20 South Carolina, No. 23 Georgia Tech, RV Tennessee, RV South Florida, Augusta, Georgia, Georgia Southern, Georgia State and Wisconsin.

Auburn will play Monday’s 36-hole day alongside LSU and Georgia Southern. Sophomore Cayden Pope will lead off from the front at 6:45 a.m. CT.

In addition to Pope, the Orange & Blue lineup consists of seniors Carson Bacha and Brendan Valdes and sophomores Josiah Gilbert and Jackson Koivun. Freshman Billy Davis will compete as an individual for the tournament.

All six players competed last time out at the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tennessee. Each man finished inside the top 22 on the individual leaderboard. Koivun, Bacha and Valdes led the way with second, third and fourth-place finishes, respectively.

The trio spearheaded a comeback win for the Tigers; Auburn’s third in its previous four outings. Auburn has come out on top at the East Lake Cup, the Southern Highlands Collegiate, the General Hackler Championship and the Mason Rudolph. Heading into Savannah, the team boasts a 42-15-2 record against ranked opponents.
