AUBURN, Ala. – No. 6 Auburn (26-10) starts a four-game road week with a midweek matchup at Jacksonville State (21-15) Tuesday at 6 p.m. CT at Jim Case Stadium.

The game will be broadcast on the Auburn Sports Network and can be heard locally on Wings 94.3 FM. It will also be streamed digitally on ESPN+.

Auburn enters the week riding a five-game winning streak, the second longest streak in the SEC, and is coming off its first sweep of LSU since 1988.

The Tigers are 17-4 in non-conference games this season and 36-8 in non-conference play since the beginning of last season.

The team is hitting .327 and scoring 8.6 runs per game in non-conference play.

Auburn is 7-2 in midweek games, including 3-1 away from home.

The pitching staff turned in a 2.67 ERA against LSU, marking the lowest ERA in a three-game SEC series since posting a 1.33 ERA in three games vs. Tennessee to start the 2019 SEC season.

Auburn hurlers have turned in a 3.99 ERA in the last eight games, holding opponents to four runs or fewer on five occasions.

The offense outhit its second straight SEC opponent by more than 100 points.

The team wrapped up a stretch of 16 of the last 19 games coming against ranked opponents with a 10-6 record.

Auburn is ranked top 10 in all major polls for the first time since the end of the 2022 season.

The Tigers lead Jacksonville State 26-18 in the all-time series, including 6-2 on the road.

SCOUTING THE GAMECOCKS

Jacksonville State enters the week with a 21-15 overall record and 5-7 mark in C-USA play. Led by second-year head coach Steve Bieser, the Gamecocks are 5-5 over their last 10 games but have lost four in a row after being swept by Dallas Baptist last weekend.

Offensively, Jacksonville State is hitting .262 with 228 runs scored on 303 hits and rank top 25 in the country in stolen bases (82) and hit batters (71). Redshirt sophomore infielder Cooper Blauser leads the team in OPS (.921), extra-base hits (18), RBI (28) and stolen bases (17), while senior Carson Hornung is second on the team in batting average (.308), OPS (.906) and home runs (three).

On the mound, the Gamecocks have turned in 5.34 team ERA with 273 strikeouts and 190 walks in 307.0 innings pitched. Tuesday night starter Maddox McDougall is 2-0 with a 4.22 ERA in eight appearances and three starts.
