BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - After successful performances at the 2025 Southeastern Conference Track & Field Outdoor Championships, six Tigers were named to an All-SEC team, as announced by the league office Tuesday.

Senior Makanakaishe Charamba and sophomores Ja’Kobe Tharp and Kayinsola Ajayi were named to the All-SEC Men’s Second Team. Senior Adrienne Adams and sophomore Ana-Liese Torain were named to the All-SEC Women’s Second Team and freshman Brenda Jepchirchir was named to the All-SEC Women’s Third Team.

The Tigers competed in Lexington at the University of Kentucky Outdoor Track and Field Facility last weekend, seeing the men finish eighth in the team standings with 50 points and the women take 11th with 42 points.

Charamba was one of five athletes to claim silver at the conference championships for Auburn. He crossed the 200m line in 20.08 to finish second overall. In the preliminary round of the event, he ran 19.92 to break his native Zimbabwe’s national record as well as his own program record.

With a time of 13.15, Tharp finished second in the 110m hurdles, breaking his own school record. As the SEC champion in his freshman year in 2024, Tharp became the first Tiger to medal in the event at back-to-back conference championships since Ty Akins (2007 and 2008).

Joining his teammate on the podium was Ajayi. He finished the 100m dash in 10.01 taking silver in his second outdoor conference championship.

On the women’s side, Adams delivered a season-best performance in discus throw to secure her spot on the podium. Her first mark of 57.30m secured silver and was the second-best throw in program history.

Torian, of Flossmoor, Illinois, earned silver in the 100m hurdles, becoming Auburn’s first medalist in the event since Josanne Lucas took home gold in 2006. Torian crossed with the second-fastest time in Auburn history, a personal best of 12.92.

Jepchirchir, who was the indoor 5000m silver medalist, took bronze in the outdoor 5000m. She ran 15:40.37 to shatter the previous record that Joyce Kimeli held by eight seconds. She also broke the school’s freshman record that has held since Holly Knight’s run in 2008 (16:11.46).

First place finishers are named to the first team, second place finishers are named to the second team and third place finishers are named to the third team.
