Dominic Studzinski serves as football head strength and conditioning coach for the Tigers, a role he previously held for Coach Hugh Freeze at Liberty from 2019-22.
In his two seasons at Auburn, Studzinski has helped develop eight NFL draft picks and helped lead the Tigers to a bowl berth in Freeze’s first season at the helm in 2023.
At Liberty, Studzinski helped the Flames win back-to-back FBC Mortgage Cure Bowl games in 2019 and 2020, the 2021 LendingTree Bowl and a berth in the 2022 Boca Raton Bowl. Liberty was the second FBS transitioning team in NCAA history to win three consecutive bowl games during its first three full seasons at the FBS level and one of five FBS teams to win consecutive bowl games in 2019, 2020 and 2021, along with Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky and Louisiana.
After the 2021 season, Studzinski was promoted to associate head coach/football head strength and conditioning coach.
Studzinski’s training helped five of Liberty’s players sign with NFL franchises following the 2019 season, the second-most in program history; wide receiver Antonio Gandy-Golden was selected in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins.
Studzinski helped a program record 10 players sign deals with NFL teams following the 2021 season, including quarterback Malik Willis, the first-ever Liberty quarterback selected in the NFL Draft and the Flames second-highest draft pick in program history when he was selected in the third round by the Tennessee Titans (86th overall pick).
Prior to Liberty, Studzinski served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Ole Miss for seven seasons (2012-18). Studzinski helped Freeze’s football teams advance to four bowl games, including victories in the BBVA Compass, Music City and Sugar Bowl games.
Before Ole Miss, Studzinski was at Southern Miss, where he directed the strength and conditioning programs for the Lady Eagle volleyball and soccer teams. He also assisted with day-to-day weight room and on-field operations for both the football and baseball programs. In 2011, the Golden Eagle football team had a remarkable 12-win season, capturing the Conference USA championship.
Prior to Southern Miss, he served a brief stint at Tulsa where he designed and implemented programs for the tennis, golf and cross country teams. With the Golden Hurricane, he also assisted with football as well as all other Olympic sports.
Studzinski also gained professional experience while working with LSU, Notre Dame, and Augustana College (South Dakota). At each, he assisted with day-to-day operations of football as well as several Olympic sport programs.
A native of Fort Atkinson, Wisc., Studzinski attended the University of Sioux Falls, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. He was a four-year letterman at linebacker, a two-year team captain and a two-time All-American with the Cougar football program, while also winning three NAIA national championships (2006, 2008, 2009). He went on to earn his master’s of science in sport coaching education from Southern Miss.
He and his wife, Hayley, have three sons: Magnus, Milo and Major.
