Competed in nine events throughout the season... Earned NCAA B cuts in the 200 free (1:33.64), 500 free (4:15.13) and 1650 free (15:20.02)... Swept the 200 free (1:35.99) and 500 free (4:19.82) at Louisville to begin the year... Finished second in both the 200 free (1:36.61) and 500 free (4:28.91) in a double dual with Indiana and Missouri... Scored 51 points at the SEC Championships, finishing 14th in the 200 free (1:34.83), sixth in the 500 free (4:13.50) and 12th in the 1650 (14:58.51)... Added 54 points as part of the 800 free relay, placing third with a 6:11.03, setting a new school record... Qualified for the NCAA Championships, finishing 41st in the 500 free (4:19.11) and 20th in the 1650 free (14:49.83)... Scored eight points as part of the 800 free relay (6:12.16), placing 13th and earning All-American Honorable Mention.
2022-2023
Competed in nine meets throughout the season... Solidified NCAA B cuts in the 200 free (1:33.54), 500 free (4:13.10) and 1650 free (14:52.76)... Picked up two third-place finishes in a dual at LSU in both the 500 free (4:31.37) and 1000 free (9:18.01)... Dialed up a podium spot with a third-place finish in the 500 free (4:27.37) against Texas A&M... Scored 51 points at the SEC Championships, finishing 16th in the 200 free (1:34.68), sixth in the 500 free (4:13.10) and 11th in the 1650 free (14:52.76)... Added 56 points as part of the 800 free relay with a second-place effort (6:12.39), setting a then-new school record and earning Second Team All-SEC... Scored one point at the NCAA Championships, finishing 16th in the 500 free (4:15.35) and earning All-American Honorable Mention... Also finished 40th in the 200 free (1:34.88) and 32nd in the 1650 free (15:06.81)... Added 22 points as part of the 800 free relay, placing eighth with a 6:11.64, resetting the school record and securing All-American Honors... Bonson jumped to No. 2 all-time in the 200 free (1:32.77) and No. 2 in the 500 free (4:12.50).
2021-2022
Competed in nine meets throughout the season... Recorded NCAA B cuts in the 200 free (1:35.26), 500 free (4:18.34) and 1650 free (14:52.80)... Notched three individual dual wins across the 2021-22 campaign, hitting the wall first in the 500 free (4:25.30) and 1000 free (9:11.60) at Florida State and besting everyone in the pool in the 500 free (9:14.68) at Alabama... Scored 73 points at the SEC Championships, finishing seventh in the 200 free (1:34.64), sixth in the 500 free (4:15.84) and 4th in the 1650 free (14:44.63)... Added 50 points as part of the 800 free relay (6:15.96) with a fifth-place effort... Qualified for the NCAA Championships, finishing 44th in the 200 free (1:35.03), 34th in the 500 free (4:18.34) and 21st in the 1650 free (14:58.11)... Bonson was part of the 800 free relay as well, grabbing 19th place with a 6:18.32... His 1:33.97 in the 200 free at the SEC Championships jumped Bonson to No. 5 all-time in program history... Also lept to No. 2 all-time in the 500 free with 4:13.89 at the SEC Championships... His extracted 1000 free time of 8:55.67 at the SEC Championship jumped Bonson to No. 2 all-time in Auburn history... With a 14:44.63 in the 1650 free at the SEC Championships, Bonson also jumped to No. 2 in program history.
2020-2021
Competed in six meets throughout the season... Recorded NCAA B cuts in the 200 free (1:36.29), 500 free (4:18.27) and 1650 free (15:06.37)... Earned a pair of victories in just his second collegiate meet, winning the 500 free (4:26.99) and 1000 free (9:19.72)... Also earned a win against Florida State in the 100 free with a 9:15.65... Scored 38 points at the SEC Championships, finishing 23rd in the 200 free (1:37.11), 11th in the 500 free (4:18.27) and ninth in the 1650 free (15:06.37)... Added 50 points as part of the 800 free relay (6:18.67) with a fifth-place effort.
